Maggie Grace and Maggie Gyllenhaal

Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig on 21 September 1983) is an American actress best well-known for her role in the roles of Shannon Rutherford on the ABC television series Lost and Kim Mills in the Taken trilogy. Maggie Grace was born in Worthington in Ohio. She dropped out of school after her parents separated to go in Los Angeles to live with her mother. The year 2001 was a difficult one for her, but despite difficulties with money she managed to secure her first big part in the web-based video show Rachel's Room playing the principal character. In 2002, she was awarded an Young Artist Award in 2002 for her portrayal of Murder In Greenwich of 15 year old Martha Moxley as a murder victim, Grace was able to take home the award. Grace Rutherford was the main actress in Lost in its two initial seasons. In 2004 she received the Screen Actors Guild Award with all the cast. Leaving the series Grace would like to be as a film actress, and had starred opposite Tom Welling in The Fog in 2005. She appeared as Kim Mills in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club (both 2007) and opposite Liam Neeson as Kim Mills in Taken in the year 2008. She reprised her role in Taken 2 (2011) and Taken 3 (2013).She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland, a modern adaptation from the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace reprised Shannon's role on Lost for two more episodes, which included the finale of the series. Grace appeared in Californication's 6th season which ran from 2013 to 2014. She plays Faith a groupie and a muse to the stars that catches the interest of Hank Moody played by David Duchovny. She is part of the Gyllenhaal clan as well as the older sister of Jake Gyllenhaal. When she was in her teens She appeared in small roles in the films of her father and was co-starring with her twin brother on Donnie Darko the cult classic. Her subsequent roles included Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, both 2002 and Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was praised by critics for both her performances as the lead in Secretary (2002), which is an erotic romantic drama and Sherrybaby (2006). In 2006, she was also nominated for The Golden Globe Award. The Dark Knight, which was released in 2008, following many highly successful movies, such as World Trade Center (2006) which brought her greater recognition, was a huge success for Gyllenhaal. For her performance as an unmarried mother in Crazy Heart (2009) she received a nomination for Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. The roles she played in subsequent films include Nanny McPhee, the Big Bang and Hysteria. Her other characters include as a secret agent of Secret Service in White House Down 2013, as a singer for Secret Service in White House Down 2013, singing in Frank 2014 and also in The Kindergarten Teacher 2018, where she portrays the main role. Gyllenhaal started her career as a director, screenwriter and script writer when she directed and wrote her psychological horror film The Lost Daughter. The film won Best Screenplay at the Venice International Film Festival, and it was nominated by the Academy Award.
